Mistakes

5 Potential Setbacks

  1. Creating a robot will cost a lot of money
  2. Where will I get the materials?
  3. The level of coding will be very high and extremely difficult to code
  4. Who will want it?
  5. How will I manufacture more than one?

3 Other Ideas

  1. RoboBroom (robot broom)
  2. Safety Robot (for fires and criminals)
  3. Robot Police dog (highly intelligent trackers, designed for facial recognition)

The 4 P’s

Product – your product needs to conform to some sense of reasonableness. By that I mean, what size should it be (e.g. 100gms, 200gms or 500gms) How should it be presented for sale? You need to think about how appealing your finished product will look to your potential customers.

300gms – 500gms

Price – how much are you going to charge for your product?

I will probably sell it for around about $150 – $250

Position – do you intend for your product to be in the high end or the low end of the market.

High end

Promotion – going back to the segment on communication – revisit this segment and see what it is you decided upon. How are you going to promote your product to potential customers?

I am going to advertise it online, on TV and I will put up flyers on it.

Communication

  • Identify your target audience. Who is likely to buy your product/service?

My target audience is for those who are in need of a friend

  • What is your communication objective? How do you evoke the purchase decision? Is it through awareness, knowledge, liking or preference?

I would probably make an online advertisement to a website selling the product. It will also have some information about it.

  • Design your message. Is it a rational, emotional or moral message? Is it a combination of all three?

Emotional

  • Choose the media. Will you use social media, traditional advertising or word of mouth?

TV advertisements, online advertisements and flyers

  • Message Source. Who will be the face of your communication: you or a celebrity?
